What we are
Legal Badshah provides business registration, licensing and statutory filing services. We prepare and submit applications on your instruction and deal with queries raised by the relevant department.
We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal representation, and nothing on this site constitutes legal advice. Where a matter requires an advocate or a chartered accountant in practice, we will say so.
Scope of engagement
The scope of each engagement is what we quote to you in writing before work begins. It covers preparing the application, vetting your documents, filing, and responding to departmental queries relating to that filing.
It does not cover work arising from a change in your circumstances, additional registrations you subsequently need, or litigation. Where scope changes, we tell you the revised fee and you decide before further work happens.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of every document and piece of information you provide. We check documents against the department's checklist, but we cannot verify that a document is genuine or that the facts stated in it are true.
Providing false information or forged documents to a government authority is a serious offence. We will withdraw from any engagement where we believe this is happening.
Fees
Professional fees are quoted before work begins and exclude GST, which is charged at the applicable rate. Government fees are separate, are passed through at cost, and are shown separately on your invoice.
Fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed. Government fees, once paid to a department, are not refundable by us because they are not ours to refund.
Timelines
Timelines stated on this site and in our quotes are realistic estimates based on our experience, not guarantees. Processing times depend on the relevant department, whether a file is selected for inspection or verification, and factors outside our control.
We tell you promptly when something is delayed and why. We do not quote optimistic timelines to win work.
Rejections and re-filing
Where an application we filed is rejected because of an error or omission on our part, we correct and re-file it at no additional professional fee. Any further government fee payable is your cost, since it is paid to the department.
Where a rejection arises from inaccurate information or documents you supplied, or from a change in departmental practice, re-filing is quoted separately.
Refunds
If you cancel before we have begun substantive work, we refund the professional fee less any amount already incurred. Once an application has been filed, the professional fee is not refundable, because the work has been performed.
Government fees paid to a department are not refundable by us in any circumstances.
Limitation of liability
Our liability in respect of any engagement is limited to the professional fee paid to us for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, contracts or business opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Confidentiality
We treat your documents and business information as confidential and use them only for the engagement they were provided for. Our handling of personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
